“Where your fear is, there is your task.” - Carl Jung
The story.
"I love to see the world through your eyes and stand by your side as you explore the path to your most wholehearted life."
The fear of taking a risk and being vulnerable delayed my journey into a career of passion, but it also taught me invaluable lessons about who I am that I still lean on today.
My story begins with a move to the United States as a young adult and early experience navigating cultural differences and identity. With my MBA, I was grateful to land jobs within the telecommunications and engineering industries, and I sprinkled in some exploration into self-employment along the way. The more I sought out where my purpose and energy felt most aligned, the more I noticed there was more for me to align to my core values. While I was clear on needing a new path forward, I couldn’t help but feel lost and overcome by my internal critic.
As I took the time to understand why I wasn’t following my dream despite my passion for mental health, my mind opened to self-compassion. I summoned the courage to be vulnerable and give it my all, and in doing so, I achieved my dreams.
I’m here to encourage you to try and get the most out of life, pursuing the goals and dreams that keep you energized, whether in the social, spiritual, economic, or other realms. If you’ve ever felt hesitation to move forward due to limiting beliefs or the way things have always been, I want my story to show you that you can bring more of what makes you happy by opening your mind to new possibilities.
Life, in all its complexity, is a constant source of inspiration for me. I feel alive when I’m learning something new, especially about human behavior, relationships, and healing. Every time I see a client embrace vulnerability or confront their fears, it reminds me of the power within us all to grow. It's truly a privilege to witness the transformative moments in others' lives.
My training.
I received my Master's in Social Work with a clinical concentration from the University of Houston. That led me to complete my training at Rice University Counseling Center, where I learned from excellent Menninger-trained supervisors and mentors.
My early training introduced me to approaches like Trauma focused CBT, ACT, EMDR, DARe, and IFS—and from the start, I was drawn to the ways these modalities can support people navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and a plethora of other challenges. Through a trauma fellowship and specialized training I learned just how much unacknowledged or unresolved pain can live in the body and shape the way we move through the world.
That awareness has stayed with me and fuels my deep desire to keep learning. It’s what helps me continue to bring every bit of insight, compassion, and evidence-based care to the therapy space. Staying curious and growing as a therapist will always be important to me.
My commitment.
I’m committed to meeting you where you are and listening without judgment. I will be your cheerleader and supporter on your way to gaining insight, understanding, and perspective. You are the expert on your life, and I’m here to support your journey to a more fulfilling life in the most genuine, unconditional way possible.
